It's Autumn Time!

This is our fourth year that we've been able to enjoy fall in Illinois.  It continues to take my breath away every year with the brilliant colors that pop with each new day.  Today I am watching it "rain" leaves and you would never know that Jeremy cleaned up our yard just a couple days ago.  I can't even see my driveway anymore!  Anyway, since last Wednesday was so nice, we decided to head to Maple Grove and crunch through the leaf filled path.

Will decided I was taking too long and started pushing Cora up the path.  Awesome!  Thanks Buddy!

Have you ever read the book "The Stolen Child"?  Sometimes when I go to this forest it makes me think of that book and after creeping myself out a bit, I keep a pretty good eye on my kids.  You know, because before I started thinking about the book I was preoccupied with taking pictures and making my son push his little sister.

"Run run run as fast as you can!  You can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man!"

Cora sporting her Emo look at the park.

Will found a friend to play with as we were coming out of the forest and played with him and his grandma for  a long time.  Cora and I just hung out on the swings and then finally I let her romp through the leaves.  Except she didn't romp, she just tried to eat them.

Right after this picture, somehow I got suckered into holding both kids on my lap while we swung together.  It was actually a pretty good workout and a lot of fun.
