Cora is 1!

Last year I spent the day in the hospital bringing the sweetest, most adorable and now we know the funniest girl into the world.  She has definitely brought a lot of fun into our lives by teasing us and doing silly things each day, like dragging around any clothes we leave out (tonight she wouldn't let go of her friend's coat except to eat her cake) and teasing Will by showing him whatever toy of his that she stole from him.

Grandma Curtis made her a doll bed for Christmas, so she got a little baby doll for her birthday.  When we got the baby out, Cora just wanted the bottle and Will wanted to play with the baby.  Kids are so silly.

Tonight we had some friends over to sing to Cora and Taylor who share the same birthday.  Cora loved the attention and wasted no time getting down to the business of the first sugar overload.

This little girl had no qualms about digging right into her cake.  She's been funny about not liking her hands too dirty lately, so once she realized how squishy the cake was, she just went face in.

Yum!  Sugar!!!!
Cora is my little ray of sunshine, she is happy 97% of the time and very dramatic the other 3% of the time.  But she can easily fool you with her cuteness, she is quite a handful and loves to investigate anything that she probably shouldn't.  But then she does her magic giggle and my heart melts.  She must be 1 or something.

Christmas and New Years

We had so much fun over the Christmas break!  We went to the zoo with some friends, went to a couple of movies, I went shopping by myself (and realized that it is actually very boring) and we played a lot with Jeremy while we could.

One of our favorite gifts Will got was a Nerf gun, now that he has two, Jeremy and I have had a few wars.  I'm sure Will will join in soon.

Cora was so cute, she opened one gift and then was done.  Will was very obliging and opened the rest of her presents for her.  Will was so happy that Santa brought him his airplane he asked for, it is so fun when they are this age!  I just love seeing their little eyes light up when they open that special gift.

End of a fun day.  Our kids slept great Christmas night.

Happy New Years!  Jeremy "accidentally" lit all of the sparklers at once, I think he just really likes big fires.  I'm grateful for great friends and family and look forward to another fun year!
