She's Here!

In case you didn't know, I was pregnant and now I'm not.  Instead I now have a beautiful little girl.  It's wonderful to be able to bend over again, even better to be able to hold my little sweetheart in my arms.  She came in at:

8 lbs. 12 oz.

 Will has been a wonderful big brother, and I was worried he wouldn't like having a sibling.

It has been so fun to watch these two interact with eachother.  Even though Cora is only a couple weeks old, she knows her big brother and loves watching him.  Will loves holding her and giving her kisses and trying to take care of her.  We are so glad she is here!



Taking the Plunge, Take Two

I told Jeremy last year that I would jump into the lake with him this year.  But since I was 9 months pregnant when the time came, I opted out but watched from the sidelines.  This year since the 1st was on a Sunday, we went with some friends from our ward on the 31st which ended up being perfect since it was a balmy 40 ish degrees.  Will actually got to play in the sand for a bit, pretty nice considering last year it was -5 outside.

It  didn't take very long for him to get dressed.  Then we drove to 7-Eleven to get Jeremy some tasty hot chocolate while Will had a slurpee.  What fun.  Can't wait for next year!

Christmas!

You know, Christmas is so much more fun when you have a little kid that understands Christmas, it's just magical. We had Will give presents to Jesus each day to help him remember what Christmas is really about, which he did with a lot of excitement. But when it came to Christmas Eve, I didn't think he would be able to sleep because he was so excited about Santa coming. He slept great and didn't even wake up until 8. What a good boy.

Last the best of all the game, he got his beloved X-Wing spaceship.

These two even had time to put it together before we went to church at 11.  This year was so much fun with a 3 year old spreading the Christmas spirit into your heart each day.  Hooray for kids and Christmas.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

I realize I'm a bit late with blogging about Christmas, but I was pretty pregnant and just wanted to sleep when the boy was asleep.  So bear with me as I reminisce about last month.  So here are some of the fun things we did during the Christmas season.

Every year we make a gingerbread house for Christmas.  This year I found a cool kit that made a village instead.  This is what ours ended up looking like...a crime scene in which Grandma got ran over by a reindeer.

Apparently it was quite tasty too.

We also made a trip down to Bass Pro Shops to see Santa.  Will was excited to ask him for an X-Wing Star Wars spaceship.

I think Will's favorite thing was putting up the Christmas tree.  He kept shouting, "Merry Christmas!"

Each year we also go to the Christkindle Market downtown each year.  This year we went on Dec. 23rd and they were out of our beloved Kinder Egg (Jeremy used to have them on his mission in Berlin on Christmas).  Hopefully we'll go sooner next year and get some for the kiddos.

Will thought that seeing baby Jesus was pretty awesome, but the German style pretzel that was as big as his head was a big hit too.

I love the Christmas season, it's so fun to be with friends and do fun things with the family.
