18 months going on 3

This little lady is growing up too fast.  She is getting very good at communicating and can tell you pretty much what she wants, like drink, a bite, chips, no, yes, up, kitty...you know the important things.

She loves water.  We have a tiny pool and little slide that she loves to slide down and splash into the water.  One day, we went to a friends pool and I put arm floaties on her and she swam around like a big girl.  In comparison, it took Will an entire summer of going to the pool every day to have him do that, so I was pretty impressed.

She is all girl and already insists on having purple of whatever if there is a choice.  She loves dressing up and loves putting on our shoes.  Whenever she gets into my closet, she picks out my clear shoes I wore for my wedding (I was going for a Cinderella look because I talk to birds and mice all the time).

She has no fear and climbs on everything.  In this picture she was laughing at some squirrels just outside the window and yelling "kitty!" at them.

Daddy's shoes.

Cora loves Will.  It still cracks me up when he is upstairs playing and she gets bored playing downstairs, she'll yell,"Will!!" over and over until he finally comes down and either tells her off or comes and plays with her.

My house is definitely more childproofed than it was with Will because she is so curious.  I call her my little Cora Cat because of this (and she LOVES cats).  Cora is such a little cutie, always smiling and just such a little ray of sunshine.  Love this little one

Happy 4th of July!

Yes, I made my family pose for a shot.  But I wanted a shot of Cora's cute outfit her auntie Stef got her, and Will was so proud of his America flag he was excited for a photo op.

Will wasn't okay with just hanging out with Mom and Dad for the fireworks this year, he ran off and found his friends who were also at Ty Warner Park for the fireworks.  Man this kid is growing up too fast!  It was fun to watch the fireworks with so many friends from our ward, and it makes it so much more fun for the kiddos too.

Cora is still fine with hanging out with us for the fireworks, but she and Jeremy are not cool with me taking flash pictures of them during the show.

I am so grateful to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Campout!

There was a special family that moved away while we were visiting Utah.  Luckily the Robinettes didn't move terribly far away, in fact, we were able to meet up halfway to go camping at the Michigan Sand Dunes.  My kids were SO excited to see the Robinettes.  So were Jeremy and I.
Roasting some delicious smores.

Will and Logan playing some game they made up with Pokemon cards.  Cora was checking it out.

Telling stories.

Will telling a story...

apparently Jeremy thought it was scary.

While we were roasting smores, Cora slept.  But she didn't sleep the rest of the night, she kept hearing the train and it must have scared her too much to go to sleep.  In her defense, it was really loud.  We kept giving her bottles to keep her quiet, but then she threw up all over inside of the tent.  After that was all cleaned up and we were all exhausted, Jeremy took the little princess for a drive and she finally fell asleep around 4-ish.

The next day, we packed up and then went to the beach.  The kids loved climbing on this cool tree.

We were able to hang out for a couple of hours until some dark clouds rolled in and it started thundering and lightening.  We decided it was time to head home.

Love and miss this girl.  It was so fun to be able to see them one more time.

One more silly face before they left.
