Go Pack Go!

Our nephew Kyle got Green Bay tickets for his birthday (he is a huge fan).  So, lucky us, we are the closest relatives to Green Bay and got to take him.  When we found out, we were so excited because Jeremy and I have always wanted to go to Lambeau Field, me because I am a Packers fan, and Jeremy because it's a field with a lot of football history.  So the day of the game, we all packed up the car and headed up to Wisconsin.

Here we are going into the game.  Will was a little unsure about all of the people, but we got him some shiny beads and it seemed to help.

Now what's wrong with this picture?  Will is wearing the wrong color of hat.  Better fix that.

Ah, much better hat Will.  Now I'll claim you.

Jeremy and I took turns letting Will run around the stadium.  We figure he ran about 2 miles that night. 

 

We did have some pretty entertaining guys behind us that taught Will how to do thumbs up. I think they were almost as entertained by Will and his dancing as he was with them.

Happy day, the Packers were winning by a good amount.

We had an awesome time and loved the feel of Lambeau Field.  It almost had a college feel to it because you felt close to the field. versus when we went to the Broncos game and it seemed so far away. I don't think there is a bad seat at Lambeau. 

Summer Fun

We've been able to have a lot of fun this summer since Jeremy had a lighter load of school.  Here are some of the things we did this summer.

We went to the splash pad several times.  Will had fun with his ward friends there.

Downers Grove does a car show every Friday night in the summer. Will's favorite was when the firetrucks and farm vehicles were there.

The highlight of the evening was when he got to climb into the firetruck.

He got to try on their pants (he just needs a few more years to grow into them) and of course, the fireman hat.

Will and I also went to the dollar movies, his favorite was "How to Train Your Dragon". I think it might have been because he got to sit by some teenage boys that gave him high fives.

What's summer without a little sugar?

We were able to go to the Indiana Sand Dunes a few times this summer.  Will is washing his blue dog in this picture.  Probably because he drug the poor thing all over the sand dunes.

He's gotten to be a pretty good swimmer with his arm floaties on.  He found out in the pool one day that if he doesn't have them on, he doesn't swim so well.  I had to jump in while in my clothes to save him.  Hopefully he remembers how much they help him before he goes in without mom or the floaties.

We've had a great summer and have loved having Jeremy home so much.  But we can't wait for fall and the fun it will bring.
