Easter 2011

This year was a lot of fun since Will is starting to understand about holidays.  We decided to take Will to Cantigny for their Easter egg hunt.  Will loved being able to pet the goat.

Can you guess Will's favorite colors?

The eggs were actually empty, but when Will turned his in, he got this little sheep.

Jeremy and Will dying eggs.  A note about Will's eye patch: Will has to wear an eye patch for a couple hours a day to help his "lazy eye".  Hopefully this will take care of the problem and he can avoid eye surgery.

Will had so much fun finding eggs, it was pure entertainment to watch.

Will with his spoils...and yes, he did actually eat some of the hard boiled eggs.  After church and a much needed nap (for Mom and Will), we went to our friends house for dinner and enjoyed the evening with them.  It really touched my heart that even with all of the eggs and candy going on, that Will still understood that Easter is about Christ and that He lives.

Touch a Truck Day

On Saturday Glen Ellyn (a nearby city) had a "Touch a Truck" event, so since we have a little guy that loves trucks and climbing in and pushing buttons, we were excited to go check it out.  We got there a little early and I'm glad we did, Will got to check out all the trucks without having to wait too long.

Will and some little girl playing doctor.  He kept asking "you okay?" to her.
Sweet digger
Sweet digger filled with smelly gross water...and Will.  He was a pretty smelly kid after this.

His favorite truck was the firetruck.  He kept almost taking off the brakes though, I think the fireman was getting pretty nervous.  I'm sure he only had another 100 kids to worry about doing that after Will.

The park that they did the event in had a nice sandbox.  Will had a blast, it had been a long time since he's been able to just play outside in awhile.  Hooray for Spring!
And just for a bit of random fun since you can't really see his face in any of the pictures, here is Will GQ-ing it in his suit this morning.
