BIg Birthday Boy

I am so lucky to be married to this fantastic guy.  He is my calming charm and keeps me giggling and keeps life fun despite all the craziness of having little kids and being in med school.

I love that Jeremy insisted on eating around his name...you know, just in case the kids decided to eat some since they can read and since I can't eat it.  Such a funny guy, just one of the many reasons why I love him.

Beach Day!

Before Jeremy officially started his 3rd year of med school and had to start his rotations, we headed to the Indiana Sand Dunes.  These kids couldn't wait to run into the water.

This little one knew no fear of the water.

This big one has almost completely overcome his fear.

I love the beach.  Glad the rest of the family does too.

Utah take 3

When the kids woke up to Daddy being in Utah (he flew in late at night after 4 weeks of separation), they wouldn't let him out of their sight.  Don't you love a tender picture and then someone decides to pick their nose?

Jeremy and I had a getaway for a night up to Park City, you can see the backside of Mt. Timpanogas in the background.

We met a cool couple from Australia that took this for us.

Do you think that this kid wants to go swimming or what?  He wore the flippers almost all the way to the pool.  Then Will decided that flippers are hard to walk in.

Peyton, Will and Kooy.

Cora liked the dress up stuff her Auntie Em got her, but she liked wearing the bag on her head just as much. Lamp shade the next step?

We went out to a birthday lunch with Nevin and Alyse (without kids!) since Nevin and Jeremy's birthdays were almost here.  It was so fun and I was glad that my brother Brent was able to come too.  We just hung out and laughed and had a great time.  Will just wanted a ride in his favorite blue jeep.

My little tall sis Alyse and sweet Cora.

What trip is complete without family pictures right?  I liked this one.

Love this girl.

Jeremy showing his true colors and how much he loves me.

Just chillin in the swing eating a sugar cookie.

 I love family BBQ's.

We hiked to Donut Falls, and Debbie, Kristen and Scott came too!

I had to document this city girl actually climbing down rocks.  Proud of you Debbie!

Shopping at City Creek again.  Don't we look excited?  We did actually have fun.

We had a BBQ at my brother Roland's house to say goodbye to my family.

Micah helping their dog Niko give Cora bones.

One last cuddle with Grandma Curtis.

We love visiting Utah, nothing beats hanging out with family.  I mean, where else do you have boys making laughing chains?  I can't wait until we get to visit again.

Utah Take Two

My sister Alyse and brother-in-law Nevin hung out at my mom's for a weekend.  This is is Kaiser, one of their dogs.

Nevin and the kids having a shootout.  Pretty cool to learn from an ex-marine right?  It was a blast having them there for the weekend.  They took Will bowling and couldn't believe how excited and crazy he got.  And both kids could not get enough of their sweet dogs who put up with lots of mauling.

Cora and Grandma Curtis reading books,

and making a scarf to dress up in.  My mother-in-law is the best.  She watched the kiddos for me on multiple occasions so I could just go take some Amy time.  One night I went shopping with my mom, for 3 hours!  It was so fun and so sweet of Kae to take care of the kids.  It was the best mother's day present anyone could have given me.

Katy and I got to hang out a few times while we were in Utah.  Man I've missed that girl!  So glad we were able to see each other.  We'd planned on going downtown one day without realizing it was Sister Monson's funeral.  We couldn't go into temple square, but got a good view of the temple and got to go up in the church office building to get an even better view of the valley.  Then we grabbed some lunch at city creek and then played in their little fountain area.  The kids had a blast.

We also got to go camping (okay, I left Will and Cora, my mom and me drove back to her house) with my brother Jason and his awesome family.  They introduced Will to Apples to Apples and Charades.

We also found out that Will thinks girlfriends are cuddly.  Oh boy!

We had promised Will we'd go camping in Utah, so I was so glad he was able to go with them.  Jessica used to babysit Will when we lived in Utah and I was working, so it was fun for them to reconnect.

Light saber wars!  My mom is awesome.

Will approved of my mom's homemade frosting.

Cora loved all of my mom's cats.  My mom has said that the cats have missed Cora and Will mauling them, I just don't get it.  They would be purring and then would hiss, but I guess they liked the constant attention these two gave them.

Cora is doing her version of cuddling.

Seriously?  Does that look comfortable to you?

Goodbyes to Grandma Thompson.

Once Jeremy came into town, we were very busy.  The boys (this is Peyton with Will) loved hanging out at Scheels, a sports store.

Will is terrified of heights.  I told him we wouldn't take him home unless he rode the Ferris wheel, so he did.

Jeremy got to hike a mountain with his brother Matt.

And he made it to the top.
Stay tuned for part three...
