Funny Four Year Old
Will cracks me up. I need to write down what he says more often, but here is a little sample of our conversations.
"Dad? If Mom has another baby and it's a boy, we should name him Firehole!" -Glad that I'm not pregnant and that he doesn't get to pick the names!
Then tonight Will and Jeremy took treats to some of our friends and neighbors. Jeremy was telling me how weird it was that some houses he was in a big hurry, but others he went right into their house and made himself at home. I asked which houses he was fast at and realized there was a common factor. So I investigated.
" Hey Will, did you hurry at some of the houses because you were feeling too shy to talk to your girlfriends?"
With a sly grin and nervous giggle the answer came,"Yes!"
I started laughing and then he asked," Mom? Do I crack you up?"
"You sure do buddy."

11 months
Cora is now 11 months and no longer my little baby girl. She is such a funny little girl that loves to tease and be teased. She is a total Daddy's girl and saves most of her kisses for him.
She loves being outside and since it's a bit cold to hang out outside, this is about as close as it gets. For now, her favorite game inside is throwing things down the stairs to our basement. I always check there first if there is something that I can't find...my phone, a whisk, you get the idea.
"Today is a double Dew day!"
Jeremy gave her a sip of soda one day and now she begs for it every day. Maybe this is one of the reasons she favors Jeremy, because I won't give her any.
Cora is quite the climber. She's been going up the stairs just fine for months, but in the last month has realized she can climb other things. One day I left our step stool out and she climbed right up and helped herself to some cookies. Tonight she pulled out a drawer in our end table and tried to use it to climb up the table. Smarty pants!
It has been fun to introduce Cora to different Christmas traditions, and it is a lot more fun for Will to have someone to be so excited with. We're so happy to have this little spitfire in our lives and love (most days) the chaotic fun that she brings.
