We have been wanting to go to the beach for quite awhile, and since we are finally getting over our colds, we decided to head on over to the Indiana Sand Dunes on Friday.
Will wasted no time in getting into the water. He was in heaven.
Cora loved it too and wasted no time in tasting the sand.
See how light it was? Perfect day, no serious sun and not too hot. But then a crazy thunderstorm rolled in and the kids and I ran for shelter while poor Jeremy finished taking down our awning and hauled our stuff up the beach. At least he got a natural facial from the sandblast he received.
Yes, it's still daytime in this picture, around 12:30. You can see all of the people hunkered down and waiting it out while having some lunch. Our kids were done so we went home and the sun came out again an hour or so later. I thought it was totally worth it, there is something about sand between your toes and little ones playing in the water that makes you so relaxed and at peace. Love it. Hopefully we'll go again before Jeremy starts school again.
