Utah Take Two

My sister Alyse and brother-in-law Nevin hung out at my mom's for a weekend.  This is is Kaiser, one of their dogs.

Nevin and the kids having a shootout.  Pretty cool to learn from an ex-marine right?  It was a blast having them there for the weekend.  They took Will bowling and couldn't believe how excited and crazy he got.  And both kids could not get enough of their sweet dogs who put up with lots of mauling.

Cora and Grandma Curtis reading books,

and making a scarf to dress up in.  My mother-in-law is the best.  She watched the kiddos for me on multiple occasions so I could just go take some Amy time.  One night I went shopping with my mom, for 3 hours!  It was so fun and so sweet of Kae to take care of the kids.  It was the best mother's day present anyone could have given me.

Katy and I got to hang out a few times while we were in Utah.  Man I've missed that girl!  So glad we were able to see each other.  We'd planned on going downtown one day without realizing it was Sister Monson's funeral.  We couldn't go into temple square, but got a good view of the temple and got to go up in the church office building to get an even better view of the valley.  Then we grabbed some lunch at city creek and then played in their little fountain area.  The kids had a blast.

We also got to go camping (okay, I left Will and Cora, my mom and me drove back to her house) with my brother Jason and his awesome family.  They introduced Will to Apples to Apples and Charades.

We also found out that Will thinks girlfriends are cuddly.  Oh boy!

We had promised Will we'd go camping in Utah, so I was so glad he was able to go with them.  Jessica used to babysit Will when we lived in Utah and I was working, so it was fun for them to reconnect.

Light saber wars!  My mom is awesome.

Will approved of my mom's homemade frosting.

Cora loved all of my mom's cats.  My mom has said that the cats have missed Cora and Will mauling them, I just don't get it.  They would be purring and then would hiss, but I guess they liked the constant attention these two gave them.

Cora is doing her version of cuddling.

Seriously?  Does that look comfortable to you?

Goodbyes to Grandma Thompson.

Once Jeremy came into town, we were very busy.  The boys (this is Peyton with Will) loved hanging out at Scheels, a sports store.

Will is terrified of heights.  I told him we wouldn't take him home unless he rode the Ferris wheel, so he did.

Jeremy got to hike a mountain with his brother Matt.

And he made it to the top.
Stay tuned for part three...
