We have loved living in Chicago for the past couple years. It's been hard to be away from family, but it's also made our little family grow a lot closer and we've made lots of fun friends. Last summer, Jeremy applied to several med schools to continue our adventure for the next 4 years. Well, back in October, Jeremy found out he was accepted to med school here and we were stoked to say the least, it's been what Jeremy has worked towards since I've met him (wow, 13 years ago...man time flies!) We just had it set in our minds that we were here to stay unless something way better came up.
Then Jeremy got an email a couple weeks ago, he got an interview to the Midwestern school in Phoenix. Immediately I started dreaming about warm weather (what person in Chicago doesn't in February?), being close to home, lower costs of living...the list goes on. But there was a catch. An interview doesn't mean he's accepted and we've had housing lined up that we'd need to sign the lease by April 1st (a seriously sweet deal that my friend Tiffany hooked us up with). So, we went to the temple, prayed about it, and the answer came, we're staying here. Maybe it was easier to decide since the weather warmed up a bit. Maybe it was easier because Will won't take off his Cubs hat, or maybe it was easier because aside from the harsh winters here, we love it here. Here's to 4 more years!
Glad you're not leaving us. Somehow we'll get through the winters.
