You might have heard that we got some snow in Chicago. It's true. Jeremy even got to stay home from school yesterday and play in the snow with Will and me.
The view from our kitchen window.
I think we really only got around 18 inches, but the wind was super strong and created some monster snow drifts. Some cars got buried while some not so much.
The snow on our patio.
Obviously it was awhile before they could shovel all of the walks to all of the apartments. Lucky for us our door was out of the drift zone and we could at least leave. Our friends in our apartment complex had to wait until they shoveled up to their door because they couldn't get it open.
These snow piles were taller than me at their high points. If I were more ambitious we would have made some tunnels.
Yup, hip deep here.
Will and his buddy Kate on top of a pile of snow in the parking lot. They played there for a good hour, you just can't beat this kind of entertainment.
We were lucky to have our power on and didn't have to be anywhere. We had quite a fun day with all of the snow.
