Big number 6

This boy is now 6.  That takes two hands to show how old you are.  I love this kid and love the outfits he puts together (his favorite being red shirt with red pants), how well he plays with his sister, the good helper he is, and his excitement about learning new things.
He was showing me how old he is...but since I subconsciously don't want him to grow up, I cut off his hand from the picture.

He got his sweet crown and stickers from school.  He got to fill a "birthday bag" with a couple of his favorite things to show his classmates.  He took a picture of Festus, and his stuffed animal Festus that he sleeps on top of every night.

He's so big.

I had told Will that he could invite a few friends over for a birthday party.  He insisted on making it a scientist party where we got to do some cool experiments.

Good thing his dad is smart and knows all about science.

So we made some volcanos

that they ended up dumping on eachother.  I was glad that we had them wear their "labcoats" to keep some of the liquid off of them.

We also did the mentos in diet coke trick.  This was their favorite part.  Some were dancing in the soda as it came down, and some were tossing on each other with the remnants of soda.

It was "the best party ever".  That what one of the kids were yelling as they were dripping with soda when their parents came to pick them up.  I completely agree!
