4 Year Old Superhero

Will has been telling me for awhile now that "when he grows up I'll be 4".  I think this was to put off things like sleeping with only a night light in his room and have the hall light off, mowing the lawn, and the like.  Yesterday on his birthday we watched some home movies and man, he has grown up a lot.

-Some of his favorite things:  Star Wars, superheros, the color blue, playing sports with his Dad and playing games on his Daddy's phone and protecting me at the store by shooting "bad guys".

-He is now 42.5" tall and weighs 40 lbs.

-He is a sweet boy and I love that he has a tender heart.  He is also more coordinated than me (I realize that isn't so hard) and seems to have taken after his Dad by being pretty athletic.

Since Will loves superheros, we decided to make he and his buddies be superheros for his birthday party.  This is Will and his good friend Sophie

I couldn't get a shot with his eyes open, but it cracked me up he wouldn't take off the mask to put on his party hat.

After we made sure their tummys were full, we started Superhero training.

One of their favorite parts was breaking through this wall of boxes with their big muscles.

Our house has a perfect area in which the kids can run in a circle.  They did great running backwards...

And running like a rockstar superhero.  He was so glad to have his friends come, and we had a blast with them.

On Will's birthday, we had some friends come over for cake and ice cream.  Since we don't have a lot of time right now, I was glad for Will's action figures.  They made this cake pretty cool.

You might notice he is pretty far from the candles to blow them out.  During his party the day before he got a bit close and burned his poor little lip.  He was sure to be careful this time.

Happy boy, I think he is daydreaming about playing with the new Legos he got.  Love this boy and I'm so glad we have him to brighten each day.  He really is my little ray of sunshine.
