Fun at the Beach

Sunny days are sometimes far and few between in Chicago.  We've learned to check the weather and when it's sunny, we go play outside (unless it's too muggy, then just forget it and go where there is AC).  So a couple of weeks ago, we decided to head out to the Indiana Sand Dunes.  Why drive to Indiana to go to the beach?  Because it was $6 versus $20 parking downtown, and only 15 minutes longer of a drive.  Anyway, when we got there, the sky was a clear blue and you could see all the way across the lake to downtown Chicago.  It was gorgeous.  Will loved playing in the sand and had a lot of the beach to himself for the first couple of hours.

He actually let me bury him in the sand, several times.  I think it was because he was cold from Lake Michigan (it took me until we got home to completely warm up) and the sand was nice and warm.

Will thinking about following me...then remembered that it's pretty cold.
We had a great time and everytime I find sand in my purse, I start planning our next trip back.
